Canadian actress/singer Gloria Reuben is best known for her role as the attention-grabbing physical therapist Jeanie Boulet in the NBC hit medical series “ER” (1995-1999), a role that garnered her multiple Emmy nods and a Golden Globe nomination. The intense, intelligent Reuben made her way back to series TV with the CBS drama “The Agency” (2001-2002) and then starred in the dramatic series “1-800-Missing” (2003-2004). In addition, Reuben also made many television films, including Indiscreet (1998) and Deep in My Heart (1999), and guest starred in numerous shows.




As a movie actress, Reuben, who made her debut in Immediate Family (1989), has dotted her resume with such vehicles as the box-office hit Timecop (1994), the independent film Macbeth in Manhattan (1999) and Michael Almereyda’s Happy Here and Now (2002).




Recently appearing with Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland in The Sentinel (2006), she is scheduled to star in actor-director Paul James Palmer’s forthcoming The Hard Place.

Multi-talented Reuben has now added recording artist to her respect with the release of her debut album, Just For You. Before, the daughter of Gospel singer appeared as Tina Turner’s backup vocalist, performed the Canadian national anthem at the 1998 and 2003 basketball All-Star game, as well as sang and co-wrote the themed song of 2003’s TV series “1-800-Missing,” “This Dream Is Real.”




Off camera, Reuben was named People magazine’s one of”50 most beautiful people in the world” in 1996.




Ten years before, she won the title of “Miss Black Ontario,” but it was diminished when many people issued her racial background and declared she did not truly represent the “black” experience. The wife of Wayne Isaak claims that she is Jamaican-Canadian, and not African-American.
